Professor Pedro Araújo
4x BJJ World Champion
Pedro Araújo was born on October 15, 1989, in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil. His passion for martial arts began in childhood with Judo, where he developed a strong foundation of discipline and technique in his hometown. In 2009, Pedro transitioned from MMA to Jiu-Jitsu, discovering in the gentle art the path to his true calling. In 2015, he earned his black belt under the guidance of the renowned professor Vinicius "Draculino" Magalhães, one of the most respected figures in Jiu-Jitsu.
Throughout his competitive journey, Pedro Araújo participated in numerous championships, building a legacy of excellence. He became a four-time world champion, earned over 40 IBJJF medals, and secured titles in various regional, national, and international competitions. Pedro is widely recognized for his consistency and determination in high-level tournaments, where he faced some of the best athletes in the world, becoming a symbol of resilience and success in the sport.
As a black belt professor and owner of the Trein academy, Pedro dedicates his life to training athletes and passionate practitioners, promoting physical and mental well-being while spreading Jiu-Jitsu values such as respect, discipline, and humility. With his unique teaching methodology—"ORIENTED, RESPECTFUL, DISCIPLINED, EDUCATED, POWERFUL"—he combines advanced techniques, competitive strategies, and a constant focus on the individual development of each student. His approach welcomes everyone, from beginners seeking an introduction to the martial art to advanced athletes aspiring to shine in international competitions.

Professor Jessica Flowers
9x Black Belt World Champion
Born on January 23, 1992, in Manaus, Brazil, Jessica Flowers began her martial arts journey at the age of 15, initially training in Muay Thai. Despite her brief time in the discipline, she soon transitioned to wrestling and, around 2009, discovered her true passion in Jiu-Jitsu.
A leading figure in women's Jiu-Jitsu, Jessica earned her black belt in 2016 under Sensei Henrique Machado. Motivated by the philosophy that Jiu-Jitsu instills and by her desire to overcome challenges and succeed in life, her journey in the sport has been marked by remarkable achievements, unwavering dedication, and a constant drive for evolution.
As a competitor, Jessica Flowers has accumulated prestigious titles on both national and international stages. Her accomplishments include victories at the ADCC, the European Championship, the Pan Ams, and eight World Championship titles, showcasing the strength and presence of women in Jiu-Jitsu. Beyond her competitive career, Jessica is a passionate advocate for female empowerment in the sport, inspiring women worldwide to excel both on and off the mats.
To complement her training, Jessica also pursued Judo and expanded her expertise in other areas, such as functional training. She is certified in Kettlebell training and as a Personal Trainer, reflecting her commitment to the holistic development of her students and the promotion of overall well-being.
As a professor, Jessica Flowers believes in Jiu-Jitsu as a powerful tool for personal transformation, teaching essential values such as discipline, perseverance, and confidence. Her mission extends beyond the sport, aiming to impact lives and empower those who have the opportunity to learn from her.

Professor Luan Beltrão
Black Belt and Judo
Born in Varginha, southern Minas Gerais, Brazil, Luan began his martial arts journey in 2010 with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and in 2012, expanded his focus to Judo. To pursue high-performance training, he moved to Belo Horizonte and joined the Minas Tênis Clube, one of Brazil’s top sports institutions.
Between 2014 and 2020, he built a strong career in Judo, becoming a Brazilian and Pan-American champion, multiple-time national medalist, state champion, and winner of major national Judo tournaments. He represented Brazil on the Junior National Team, competing in the European circuit and participating in training camps with the Olympic team. He earned his black belt in 2017 and second dan by merit in 2021.
He was coached by Floriano Almeida — former coach of the Brazilian Olympic team — and Alexandre Katsuragi, one of Brazil’s top current Judo coaches.
In 2021, Luan returned to Jiu-Jitsu competition, participating in national events and earning his black belt in late 2023 under Professor Cristiano Santos Lazzarinni (known as Titi), one of the first black belts under Vinícius Draculino and a world-class BJJ athlete.
Luan holds a degree in Physical Education and certification from the Brazilian Olympic Institute, specializing in childhood development through Judo. He also works as a physical conditioning coach for combat athletes, focusing on performance enhancement, injury prevention, and sport-specific training — combining academic expertise with competitive experience.
Since 2018, he has taught Judo, and since 2022, also Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, helping shape new generations of athletes in both disciplines.
His approach is guided by Judo’s core principles, taught by Jigoro Kano: “Maximum efficiency with minimum effort” and “To yield is to conquer.”
Professor Luiza Dantas
Brown Belt
Luiza Dantas was born on November 13, 1995, and began her martial arts journey in 2006 at just 11 years old in Parintins, Amazonas, Brazil. From an early age, she showed a deep passion for Jiu-Jitsu, and in pursuit of honing her skills, she moved to Manaus, where she expanded her training and strengthened her path in the gentle art.
In 2022, she was promoted to brown belt by Sensei Henrique Machado. Throughout her journey, she also practiced Judo and Kettlebell training, enhancing her physical conditioning techniques on the mats and broadening her perspective as an athlete. Her dedication and expertise led her to teach women's self-defense classes, using her knowledge to empower and inspire women.
Competing since childhood, Luiza has participated in tournaments at all colored belt levels, gaining extensive experience in the competitive scene. Over the years, she has achieved outstanding results in state, national, North American, and South American championships under the IBJJF, solidifying her reputation as a seasoned athlete.
As a coach, Luiza Dantas is recognized for her ability to motivate and teach, instilling fundamental values such as respect, discipline, and resilience. She inspires her students to reach their full potential, both in sports and in life.
Luiza holds a degree in Design with a specialization in Digital Marketing and brings over 10 years of experience in the creative field. Throughout her career, she has developed a strong foundation in branding, content strategy, and visual storytelling—skills that seamlessly translate into her work on and off the mats. Currently pursuing studies in Physical Education and Biomechanics, Luiza combines technical knowledge with creative expertise to design dynamic classes, and contribute meaningfully to martial arts event planning. Her commitment to physical, technical, and creative growth reflects her passion for delivering an exceptional student experience.
The phrase that represents her journey and continues to guide her, as taught by her Sensei, is: "Joyful amidst war. Mindful amidst peace."


Coach Mylla Ribeiro
Brown Belt
Born on April 27, 1991, in São Luís, Maranhão, Brazil, she began her Jiu-Jitsu journey at the age of 23. With the goal of deepening her knowledge and skills in the martial art, she moved to Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil, where she continued her technical and professional development, competing in state championships under the IBJJF.
With 10 years of academic and practical experience in education, she specialized in teaching Jiu-Jitsu to children of all ages, including neurodivergent students. She is also a Physical Education student. Throughout her career, she has played a significant role in the development of many children, including those who have competed in state championships.
A brown belt under Sensei Henrique Machado, she has also trained in judo and competed in state championships under the IBJJF. Her dedication to the gentle art has led her to give lectures on the importance of Jiu-Jitsu in childhood. Due to her expertise, she has been responsible for private lessons tailored to neurodivergent children, adapting training to each student’s reality and reinforcing the philosophy that Jiu-Jitsu is for everyone.
Her journey reflects a deep commitment to the sport and its positive impact on the growth and empowerment of practitioners.

Coach William Payne
Competitor
W. Graham Payne (known as "Payne" in the gym) has been studying and practicing jiu-jitsu since 2018 under Pedro Araújo. Before discovering jiu-jitsu, Payne played and coached rugby for 13 years, competing with various undergraduate, graduate, and men’s club teams.
A frequent competitor in IBJJF tournaments across Texas, Payne has won the Houston, Austin, and Dallas Opens multiple times and has also competed at Masters Worlds. He began volunteer coaching in 2022 and enjoys helping kids refine their technique and grow in the sport.
Outside the gym, Payne holds both a BS and MS in Geology. He is passionate about carbon sequestration and advancing projects that support the energy transition.


Coach Samir Megaron
Purple Belt
Born on February 28, 2003, in Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil, he began his Jiu-Jitsu journey at the age of 7, quickly standing out as the youngest in his team. Throughout his career, he has competed in all colored belt divisions, achieving significant titles such as South American, Brazilian, and state championships under the IBJJF.
Beyond his role as a competitor, his focus extends not only to technique but also to fostering discipline, self-confidence, and respect for the values of Jiu-Jitsu.
Currently, he holds a purple belt under Sensei Henrique Machado, under whose guidance he also trained in judo, broadening his martial arts foundation and gaining a more comprehensive understanding of combat. Additionally, he is a Physical Education student, integrating theory and practice to enrich his sports journey and enhance his performance as an athlete. His goal is to continue evolving, both as a practitioner and as an instructor, to positively impact students’ lives and expand the philosophy of Jiu-Jitsu.
Throughout his journey, he has remained committed to a phrase spoken by his first professor: "There is no miracle without sacrifice."
Coach Rafaella Dornelles
Purple Belt
Born on November 1, 2004, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, she later moved to Manaus, Amazonas, where she began her Jiu-Jitsu journey at the age of 10. Since then, she has competed in all colored belt divisions, standing out in state championships under the IBJJF.
Currently, she is a Physical Education student with experience assisting in teaching Jiu-Jitsu to children, helping young athletes develop their skills. Rafaella holds a purple belt under the guidance of Professor Pedro Araújo.
Always striving for continuous growth, Rafaella plays an essential role both on the mats and in teaching, aiming to evolve professionally in her journey within the sport. With unwavering dedication, she seeks constant improvement, both as a practitioner and as a professional, always aspiring to be a reference of excellence.
The guiding phrase of her journey has been: "Live the life you love."
